In 2023 JWB Company was acquired by the M.A. Selmon Company to form JWB — a division of M.A. Selmon Co, Inc. Brad Selmon is now the President.

JWB Company was founded by John W. Birkenberger in 1987 after a long and prosperous career starting in 1959 at The Bristol Company (Bristol Babcock, Inc.) in Waterbury, CT before retiring in 1998. John proudly served with the US Army during the Korean War and then proceeded to obtain his Engineering degree from the University of Connecticut. James Birkenberger, John’s son, joined JWB in 1991 shortly after receiving his degree from St. John Fisher University and took over the reigns as President.
